The Transition Process from Employee to Entrepreneur
Tuesday, July 14th, 2009 |Salam. Sekarang ni saya memang susah nak tidor sikit. Selain dari sedang trade, saya juga sedang dalam usaha menyiapkan diri untuk melangkah ke alam entrepreneur. Jadi sebagai persediaan awal saya, banyak masa lapang saya habiskan untuk membaca buku berkaitan keusahawanan.
Di dalam buku Before You Quit Your Job by Robert Kiyosaki, beliau ada membincangkan proses transition dari seorang pekerja kepada seorang usahawan. Proses ini sebenarnya bermula dari penukaran mindset, attitude, habit dan pelbagai perkara lain yang berkaitan. So, let’s look at the stages you (and me!) might go through in this transition process:
Stage 1: You (and ME!) become unhappy as an employee.
Have you heard of Monday Blues?..Yeah, its a sindrom. A pandemic I reckon, where almost every employee suffers it. You may say or think the following spells such as “my job description begins with the word dead end” or “I like my job, but I’m not going anywhere” or even “regardless if I work hard or fall asleep on the job, I don’t get paid any more or less” 
Stage 2: Overcome the fear of getting started
Instead of quitting their (and Mine!) jobs and getting started on their own business, they (and pity Me) continue to work day after day, using such excuses as “I’ll do it tomorrow” or “I’ll do it when the perfect opportunity appears” or “I’ll do it when I have the money” or even “I’d do it but my wife wants me to keep my job”.
Stage 3: Just start!
The 10 process of starting your own business are:
- Start the business
- Fail and learn
- Find a mentor
- Fail and learn
- Take some classes
- Keep failing and learning
- Stop when successful
- Celebrate
- Count your money, the wins and losses
- Repeat the process
Jadi, ingatlah kawan-kawanku bahawa getting started is half the battle. Masih banyak lagi yang perlu kita lakukan untuk menjadi usahawan yang berjaya. By the way, I encourage you guys to get this book at the nearest bookstore or you can buy at amazon.com.
