How to fax to a 1 800 number

Salam.

Hari ini saya dapat ilmu baru. Maaf, mungkin ramai yang dah tau servis ni, tapi saya tak. Just now, En Muza dari AIST minta saya fax kan a piece of document to Citibank. Its not that they have problem with their fax machine, tetapi lebih kepada nombor fax yang di berikan oleh Citibank. You know what? The fax number starts with 1 800 xxxx. Gosh…..This is the first time I saw such fax number. Well, I did try to fax it in the first place, but the fax machine gave me an error message. Emm…then I called a friend of mine who works at TM. His answer was “Aku confident nombor 1 800 tak leh terima fax. Kalau nombor 1 700 boleh la. Aku tau la, aku jual nombor ni” katanya dengan penuh confident. He even ask me to call Citibank to tell them that they maybe have advertise the number wrong! Now, that’s something I’ve never think of. Give Citibank guys a call and say “Guys, please reprint your brochures back. You have the numbers wrong”

Then, came Muza. He got this idea. A good one I reckon. And it works. So this is a step by step guide on how to fax to a 1 800 number:

1. Dial the 1 800 number
2. Wait after the dialing tone
3. When you heard the buzzing sound of the fax line, push the start button on your fax machine.
4. Cheers! You finally got it faxed!

Ilmu baru setiap hari. And a useful one too.
